 Parent Council Leadership Team 2018-2019 consists of: 



Veronica Johnson


Veronica Johnson has been married to Alan Johnson for 13 years and they have 2 daughters together - a 5th grader and a 7th grader - who both attend BIA.  Veronica grew up just south of the city in Riverdale, GA.  She has worked in the field of Information Technology her entire career, in Healthcare IT specifically for the past 13 years.  She has performed various duties including sales, project management, business process redesign, instructional design, teaching adult learners, providing Go-live support and account management.  Currently, she serves as the Principal Trainer for the Epic billing system at WellStar Health Systems. Veronica has always been actively involved in her children's education, serving in various roles in other PTA organizations, coaching students preparing for spelling bee competitions, serving as a judge for Math Olympics and lots more.  Her heart is true for children and education. She is proud to be among the many enthusiastic and committed parents, teachers, and leaders at BIA!



Kelly Livingston


Kelly and her family have lived in Chamblee, GA for the past 10 years.  They have three boys - two attend BIA in K and 2nd grades and her youngest attends Oglethorpe Presbyterian Preschool.  Kelly has served on the BIA Parent Council previously as Communications chair in 2016-17 and created the Parent Council website.  She has served as the Parent Coordinator for Empire Transportation's bus route that currently serves 130+ BIA students. In Fall 2017 she assisted with the BIA Annual/Bear Fund giving campaign. Kelly works part-time as an anesthetist at Emory/St. Joseph's hospital and her husband Casey is an anesthetist at Grady Memorial Hospital. They are dedicated to building a welcoming and accessible community for all BIA families.



Yvette Berry

Events Chair

Yvette Berry is the mother of Cameron Berry a 2nd grader at BIA. She is a graduate of Spelman College and active in her sorority of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Yvette currently is a business owner for over 14 years in Atlanta, Charlotte & the Dallas, TX area. Yvette has been heavily involved in parent council in Texas for the past 3 years in the capacity of Room Parent Chair, Teacher Appreciation Chair and her passion for Events Coordinator.   Yvette’s first love is family and togetherness and living each day to the fullest. “It is a pleasure to be a part of the BIA Parent Council serving in a role of my expertise; I look forward to bringing my talent and creativity to BIA. Thank You for having me!



Melanie Pink

Communications Chair


Melanie and her family have lived in Brookhaven, GA for the past 8 years.  Their oldest son is a second year at BIA, in 1st Grade, and daughter (4) in Pre-K and son (3) attend Oglethorpe Presbyterian Preschool.  In Fall 2017, Melanie assisted with the BIA Annual/Bear Fund giving campaign.  Melanie works part-time at a Real Estate Development firm in Buckhead, DaVinci Development Collaborative. Her husband Michael Pink has his own start-up construction software technology firm, SmartPM Technologies, and also serves on the BIA Board of Directors as the Facilities Chair.  In their free time, they love to travel, explore the outdoors, eat foodie food and find fun local activities.




Melissa Chevalier

Spirit Chair


Melissa Chevalier is married to Greg, and together they are the proud parents of Alexis (2nd grade, BIA) and Nicole (preschool at St. James). Melissa is actively involved in BIA as a Room Parent, volunteers at many BIA events and organizes Spirit Night at the Corner Bakery for all Project Exhibition nights. Outside of BIA she volunteers for CHOA, is a member of WISE (Women in Sports and Events), Pine Hills Garden Club, Brookhaven Christian Church and active alum for DePauw University. For over 20 years Melissa owned dot the i MARKETING, a marketing, promotions and PR company specializing in the automotive and motorsports industry. Currently, she is a consultant for Rodan + Fields skin care.




Alexis Conley

Volunteer Chair

Alexis Catherine Conley, mom to 3 awesome possum kids, two of which attend BIA (3rd - Brighton Conley & 6th - Sebastian Gorsuch), and one whom will grow into it ( 3 whole years old- Penny Conley).  Married to a one Mr. Matthew Conley, who is pretty dang amazing. She enjoys any and all artistic avenues and endeavors, and takes pride in dipping her toe in as many as possible, be it for work or pleasure. 

Truly looking forward to working with all the amazing parents, staff, and especially students this year while helping to facilitate volunteering where possible in addition to any other needs that need be meet at the school.  Our Family started year one with BIA and look forward to seeing all of our children grow through this amazing community. It takes a village, and I am quite fond of this one.





Dominique Morton

Hospitality Chair


My name is Dominique Morton and I have one daughter, Kayleigh, who is in the second grade. I have been very involved with BIA since the opening. I served as room parent during my daughter’s kindergarten year and I assist as much as possible with the 1st-grade team. I currently serve as Co-Leader for the Daisy troop and I thoroughly enjoy it.  I attended Auburn University and I currently work for the State of GA in the retirement sector. I look forward to being a part of the Parent Council and making BIA the best school that it can be.



Aundrea Davie

Community Chair


Aundrea is the lucky mother of Peyton Davie, an 8th grader at BIA.  She is an Air Force veteran who enjoys giving back to her community.  She has been married over 20 years to her wonderful husband Al and together they have five children, Alvin III, Quentin, Kyle, Blake and Peyton. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her family, working out, cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers and a nice glass of pinot noir.  This is Aundrea's second year at BIA and first year as community chair.  Aundrea believes what we do for ourselves dies with us, but what we do for others remains immortal.  It is her pleasure to provide opportunities for the students to give back to their community.




Charlotte West

Fundraising Chair


Charlotte has three children, her youngest Kacey will be starting 7th grade at BIA in the Fall. Charlotte was born in Denmark and raised in Brookhaven, GA where she attended Sequoyah High School. She moved to Houston, TX and completed her Culinary Degree. Charlotte returned to Atlanta and joined The Vinings Club and proudly served there for 15 years taking on many roles in their dining, athletic and membership departments. She has always been involved in her children's schools and has served as Room Parent, PC Officer, Chaperone, Science Olympiad name a few and is a current Cadette Troop Leader with the Girl Scouts.




Dana Lee Rogers

Fundraising Chair


Hello everyone! My name is Dana Rogers and I am co-chair for the Fundraising Committee at BIA! I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, Nina and Logan. My youngest is starting her second year at BIA as a 7th grader! I am the owner of a Personal Care and Companion / Sitter agency in Chamblee, Georgia. My company takes care of the elderly in their home so they do not have to move to a facility. It is rewarding work. I love to travel, and am always planning the next get away! I look forward to a prosperous year fundraising at BIA!
